Be Open On Breastfeeding Salford
B.O.O.B.S (Be Open On Breastfeeding Salford) is a project from Visit From The Stork CIC which supports mums on their breastfeeding journey, empower women to be open about their breastfeeding experiences and inspire others to breastfeed for longer. They have been supporting mums on their breastfeeding journeys since 2014 and have various support groups through cafe's and pram walks, as well as webchat with breastfeeding peer support workers on the website.
I help design their social media graphics each month on an ongoing basis and design various print materials when needed. I work directly integrated into their marketing team, creating graphics and managing their social media content, with a monthly meeting to discuss content strategy.
Print design
I have designed various print marketing and internal documents for BOOBS since I started working with them in 2016, including contracts for BOOBS cafe's to sign when signing up to their BOOBS Approved service offering, marketing leaflets and banners for display at various events across the UK, and table talkers to market BOOBS membership cards in venues across Salford and Bury.
Website
In October 2021 the client approached me to plan, design and build them an updated website built on Wordpress. Their goal was to create a website which was better designed for clear and informative content so that mums could easily find key information about breastfeeding and parenthood. I also integrated a new web-chat plugin, which enabled the breastfeeding peer support volunteers to better make use of web-chat, with notifications when they receive a message and an easier to use back end platform.
I also worked on the SEO of the site so that they would list higher on search engines.
Social media
I manage all of BOOBS social media, creating graphics, supporting with writing content and scheduling. I also make sure that the content is getting interaction and we are connecting with the right audience via reports.
Illustrations
These illustrations are drawn by me and are used throughout our materials, wether it be social media, printed media or on the website.
