Stork Store

Branding // website // social media // Print design

Stork store is the online and in person store for Visit From The Stork CIC, a client I have been working with since 2013. VFTS is becoming a charity later this year in 2023 and wanted a redesign of their E-commerce store to go with this.

I started out with the concept of moving away from having things like a bag or a basket in the logo because I feel these are too literal. (After all, Barnardos or British Heart Foundation shops don't have a trolley or literal things in their logos). The concept we chose was based on the stitched-in tags you get in clothes, as this is one of the main things the (new) Stork Store will sell, in addition to toys, games, etc. This concept was then expanded to use the stitching pattern in the brand elements used for signage in the shop, on social media, and on the website.

We decided to go for a set of colours which contrast well with each other, then with a shade for each one being used for the “stitching” within the brand elements.

I designed and built the previous website, but it needed to be updated with the new branding elements and a lot of search engine optimisation work, so we decided we would use a new domain for the shop, www.storkstore.org.uk, migrate the store and then rebuild it in order to get it the way we want it. It is currently scheduled to launch in October 2023.
